Ortofarm, a mobile vertical garden won the 2nd prize of the LDA Agrodesign 2011. This was announced on Friday 24 November during the Award evening at the Kerkade Continium Museum, in Limburg – NL.
The assignment was: designing an innovative agro-product design. The projects were selected out of 42 design proposals. Giacomo received a prize of 250 € and a letter of recommendation to the LDA network.
From the jury’s verdicts:
“Blending design, urban farming and growing innovative concept is the key which makes Ortofarm a realistic concept design. The jury appreciated the level of the concept and feeling for the details. This student prize serves as encouragement to continue with this design way.”
De jury was composed by Marc Meijers (MMD), Pieter Hovens (Syntens) and Jan van Duppen (old director of the Design Academy Eindhoven).
LDA Limburg Design Association intends to promote students and professionists in the region and in the Netherlands.
